“The Move Series” is a series of paintings documenting various surfing moves capturing how the human form interacts with the surfboard during a maneuver. An "air" is a "off the lip" where the surfer fly's beyond the lip of the wave into the air. This skateboard like maneuver is very popular today, but was first pioneered in the early 1980's by Matt Kechele in Florida and Davey Smith in California.
